im white so i haven’t spoken extensively about it bc i don’t want to step out of line but honestly OITNB pulled an absolutely unacceptable move esp in the wake of real life lesbians of color being brutally murdered less than a week ago. it was callous and they are heartless and cruel and i don’t feel like i’m seeing enough about this on my dash at all
like imo it doesn’t fucking matter when they filmed it or any of that shit!!!! in the wake of a large scale violent attack on LGBT poc they could have like, held the fuck off on releasing it! or something! anything!
it was ugly and imo this is even worse than any of the dead lesbians we’ve seen the rest of this year this was truly callous and im not even seeing the backlash i feel is due on my dashboard which frustrates me
like jesus fucking christ this was so inappropriate
