Javert: Now prisoner 24601, your time is up and your parole’s begun. You know what that means.

Valjean: Yes, it means I’m free

“Finish both of us at one blow,” said he.
And turning gently to Enjolras, he said to him:
“Do you permit it?”

rooo-oot:

honestly im so proud of myself for finishing this bc i thought for sure i’d quit after enjolras (he was the first one) anyways!!! here’s my interpretation of les amis & co. in modern/ high school au! (not college bc im a ninny) (and definitely not ripped off from the likes of @batcii) (click for names!) i really did try for diversity in terms of race, body, style etc etc and i know i’m not the best at it yet but if i don’t try when the feck will i be! that said, if u see an issue with it know that it was unintentional and if u’d kindly point it out i’ll do my best not to do that in the future!

ok i really want an eponine and grantaire version of agony does anyone feel me

I did some really rough lyrics and wow am I sorry for the last line, and also for all the places I failed at keeping the rhythm, and for all the lines that are clearly just there to rhyme.

Eponine:
Did I deceive him?
Or show him disdain?
Why won’t he come to me?
If I should lose him,
How shall I regain
The heart he has won from me?

Agony!
Beyond power of speech,
When the one thing you want
Is, like everything, out of your reach.

Grantaire:
Off in his study,
He’ll sit and he’ll worry,
All passion and care.
Young and becoming and frequently humming
A lion-hearted air:
[literally just hum a tiny bit of ‘Do You Hear The People Sing’ here]

Agony!
Far more painful than yours,
When you know he just looks at you
To take note of your flaws.

Both:
Agony!
Oh, the torture they teach!

Eponine:
What’s as intriguing-

Grantaire:
Or half so fatiguing-

Both:
As what’s out of reach?

Grantaire:
Am I not artistic,
Clever,
Well-read,
And good-humoured,
Passionate,
Devoted,
Ugly as he’s handsome
And all that he loathes?

Eponine:
Grantaire, you are not helping your cause!

Grantaire:
Don’t I know.

Eponine:
We all know.

Grantaire:
Don’t blame me, I’m sad.

Eponine:
You know nothing of sadness
Till he’s there with his love
And you see them above
And you’re near to him,
All the while hearing him:
[can she sing a little of ‘Heart Full of Love’ here?]

Both:
Agony!

Grantaire:
Misery!

Eponine:
Woe!

Both:
Though it’s different for each.

Grantaire:
Always playing the fool-

Eponine:
Never noticed at all-

Both:
And he’s just out of reach.
Agony
That can cut like a knife!

I would lay down my life.
