the inquisition - the last supper (l’ultima cena); leonardo da vinci.

"The Last Supper was the last meal Jesus had with His apostles before His arrest and subsequent crucifixion. One of the important moments of the Last Supper is Jesus’ command to remember what He was about to do on behalf of all mankind: shed His blood on the cross thereby paying the debt of their sins." the inquisitor - the creation of adam (creazione di adamo); michelangelo.

"The Creation of Adam illustrates God breathing life into Adam, the first man. It shows Adam and God reaching toward one another, arms outstretched, fingers almost touching. One can imagine the spark of life jumping from God to Adam across that synapse between their fingertips. However, Adam is already alive, his eyes are open, and he is completely formed; but it is the intent of the picture that Adam is to ‘receive’ something from God." Speculation suggests that this is the moment which Andraste bestows the Inquisitor’s powers onto them. It is interesting to note that the Inquisitor appears to be struggling to reach out to Andraste (perhaps in desperation), whilst Adam’s hand is lounging limply toward’s God’s.”
