Poor duckies! Apparently the ‘feeding encourages overpopulation’ one is iffy/not really a big deal, but the bread one is real! Poor things…

Never gonna feed them bread again. :( Jay LOVES feeding ducks whenever he has the option to, he’s gone out of his way to buy hotdogs just for the bread to give to them. Once he even got MUGGED by baby ducklings for his granola. (I still have pictures, I should share them) But now that I’ve known how harmful it is to them and that we can use alternatives I’ll help spread this around.

All these years of feeding bread to the ducks and I never even knew. I feel horribly guilty now.

Yeah, I heard quite a few years ago that it causes harm to them and have never fed ducks bread since, but I still feel bad that I did it quite a bit when I was a kid. Didn’t know it causes this much harm, though. :(
