STOP TELLING PEOPLE TO LEAVE THEIR TVs ON A DIFFERENT CHANNEL DURING THE INAUGURATION!
That is not how ratings work. Unless you have a Nielsen box, your television doesn’t count in ratings.
Make sure that you DO. NOT. WATCH. OR. READ. ANYTHING. ONLINE. during or after the inauguration!
Basically, your tv viewing doesn’t count for anything BUT your social media/online activity DOES. Don’t give the inauguration any attention, treat it like the sham it is. Don’t post anything on tumblr or twitter or facebook relating to trump or the presidency. Don’t watch online videos of his speech or reblog gifs of him, he loves that, especially if you are opposed to him.
