“I can’t believe I have to see a Furry Movie now.”

That “furry movie,” is well-written, beautifully animated film with wonderfully designed characters and beautiful world filled with amazing jokes, some of the best puns I’ve seen and heard in my entire life

OH YEAH

And it brilliantly handles the issues of racism, discrimination, and stereotyping during a time when these issues are becoming more and more apparent and significant in the media, and the message of acceptance is communicated to the audience in a way that’s accessible for moviegoers of all ages and doesn’t distract by spelling it out in a way that makes the audience feel like they’re being talked down to.

This movie is going to be super important to someone someday. This movie probably already is important to someone right now. There are probably kids who went to the theatre this weekend and Zootopia changed their lives. This could be the movie that gives some kid somewhere hope for the world that they’re currently living in. This movie and it’s message could be someone’s epiphany.

And people are simplifying it down to “The Furry Movie.”
