people need to be reminded that pets aren’t the only animals on earth. cows, pigs and chickens are animals too, yet almost everyone is our culture eats them. and if you ask me, eating an animal is cruel.

Eating an animal is not cruel. It’s how the natural world works. Do you get pissed at lions for eating zebras? No, because lions are higher up on the food chain and that is the natural order of things. Humans are animals too and we happen to be at the top of the food chain. 

Yes, the current system for obtaining meat is generally cruel, and the process needs to become more humane, but that doesn’t make the act of eating an animal cruel.
